I enjoy photographing flowers and other flora because it makes me stop and really look closely at the scene. I will often spend more than an hour looking and studying a flower before I click the shutter. Bees, spider webs and other small insects are all part of the scene when it comes to photographing flowers. Macro lenses or close-up lenses are often used in this technique of photography.
